Eureka Foursquare Church is a small group of believers who love the Lord and desire to learn and grow in their faith.
When you visit our church you will be greeted and welcomed to join us in worship.
Dress is casual (James 2:1-4 For if a man comes into your assembly with a gold ring and dressed in fine clothes, and there also comes in a poor man in dirty clothes, and you pay special attention to the one who is wearing the fine clothes, and say, “You sit here in a good place,” and you say to the poor man, “You stand over there, or sit down by my footstool,” have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil motives?) so whether you dress up or come as you are, you are welcome here.
We usually start off with Pastor Al greeting the congregation and bringing us up to date on current events and activities. We are an interactive church and encourage participation from the group. Next we have a time of prayer and then begin our worship music. Pastor Al plays the guitar and sings accompanied by his wife Melissa. Our main focus in worship is to glorify God and invite His presence into our gathering.
We celebrate communion each Sunday as directed in scripture (Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayers.) You don’t need to be a member of our church to participate in communion and if you are not yet a Christian, this is a good place to meet Jesus. The scripture states that in the breaking of bread Jesus is revealed (Luke 24:30-31 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him).
We do give opportunity for tithes and offerings each week (2 Corinthians 9:6-7 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver) and then we have a time for testimonies and prayer requests.
We conclude our time together with a message that is biblically based and guided by the Holy Spirit. Pastor Al prays diligently each week asking the Holy Spirit to speak through him with a timely message for those in attendance. The Bible is the words of God given to us for our instruction and is essential knowledge for living. The importance of daily bible reading is pointed out regularly and we have a reading plan available upon request. We are encouraged to ask questions or bring bible verses during the message as would have been done in the early church.
